What Are Anti-Wrinkle Injections?
At Injxu Cosmetics, we offer a range of cosmetic treatments, including anti-wrinkle injections. Wondering what exactly these injections are and what they do? Allow us to explain.
What are anti-wrinkle injections?
Anti-wrinkle injections, also known as wrinkle relaxers or muscle relaxants, are a popular non-surgical cosmetic treatment designed to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. These injections contain a specific ingredient, which can be administered into certain facial muscles responsible for causing wrinkles. The botulinum toxin works by blocking the nerve signals that trigger muscle contractions, temporarily relaxing the treated muscles. As a result, the overlying skin becomes smoother and wrinkles are lessened.
What areas can be treated?
The benefits of anti-wrinkle injections extend beyond wrinkle reduction. For individuals experiencing excessive sweating, known as hyperhidrosis, these injections can effectively target sweat glands, providing relief and restoring confidence. Moreover, anti-wrinkle injections can also be utilised in the treatment of temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ), helping to relax jaw muscles and alleviate associated pain and discomfort.
How long do the effects last?
The treatment kicks in and is at its peak at the 2 week mark, gradually wearing off over the course of the next 3 months. There is a huge misconception that the treated area will remain completely effected for the entire 3 months, however this is not the case. We recommended repeating your anti-wrinkle treatments every 3-4 months for optimal results.
